How We Analyze Matches

Every prediction we publish starts with the same question: what actually happened in the last ten similar matches? Not opinion, not narrative, not what commentators said—the actual data.

We pull match data from official league records, team statistics, and historical performance across Indonesian and Malaysian football. This includes results, possession, shots on target, corner counts, and head-to-head records. We track this over multiple seasons so we can spot patterns that matter and ignore noise.

Our core model weighs several factors:

  • Recent form (last 5-10 matches carry more weight than older results)
  • Home and away performance (some teams are genuinely different at home)
  • Head-to-head history between specific opponents
  • Absences, injuries, and known lineup changes
  • Goal-scoring and defensive consistency over the season

We don’t use a black box. Each prediction comes with the reasoning behind it. If a team is favored, we explain why. If we see value in an underdog, we show the data that supports it.

The gaps matter too. When form is unclear, when a team hasn’t played in weeks, or when lineup news is missing, we say so. Better to skip a match than guess.

We test our predictions against actual results. If our models drift from real outcomes, we adjust. We publish regular reviews of how our calls performed, not just our hits. That transparency is how we know what’s working.

Our articles break down specific matches using this framework. You’ll find the statistical support for each view, not just a pick. Read through our match analysis pieces to see how we apply this in practice.
